Evensong – November 10, 2024

Evensong at the Chapel – On Sunday, November 10 at 4 pm, as part of our Second Sunday series of evening services, the Canterbury Choir will be offering a service of Choral Evensong. Because this service will fall shortly after the election the themes of the service will be solace and unity. The music will reflect these themes as well as a liturgical shift toward the season of Advent. Choral music will be ‘Crossing the Bar’ by Parry, Preces and Responses by Robert Ross, Psalm 146 by Bairstow, Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in b minor by Noble, and ‘Never weather-beaten sail’ by Parry.
