Strolling for Sarah: The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides Walk
For the past several years, members of the Chapel have walked in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides Walk to support one of our own: a parishioner named Sarah. This important walk helps support research for therapies that will help Sarah (and others with CF) live a longer and healthier life. Because of this important research, average life expectancy for one with Cystic Fibrosis has risen from three years to over thirty years old!
This year the walk is on May 12th at Hessell Park in Champaign, with registration at 10:30 am and walk at 11 am. We invite all Chapel members and others interested to join us! So lace up your shoes and bring a friend!
To learn more, sign up to walk, or donate to support the search for therapies for cystic fibrosis, a rare and life-shortening genetic illness, please visit the Smith-Bolton team website at: http://fightcf.cff.org/goto/StrollingforSarah.
